Freude am digitalen Gestalten – Anarkik3DDesign Workshop with Ann Marie Shillito and Birgit Laken

This 2 day workshop in Munich is postponed to 17th/18th March 2020. This is 2 days after with the International Handwerkmesse and SCHMUCK in Munich and be held at the Akademie für Gestaltung und Design. The workshop will give you a 3D digital modelling experience that you will enjoy. This will change how you think about 3D digital modelling knowing that a friendly approach exists and that not having any digital designing experience is no barrier either.

This is for you as a designer maker, art jeweller, applied artist who is ambitious regarding your own self development and progressing your practice through using 3D digital technologies. It is for you too if you are frustrated by CADs’ long steep learning curves to becoming competent, or worried that you are missing out, being left behind. Sign up now to be pleasantly surprised as Anarkik3D’s remarkable award-winning 3D modelling system, Anarkik3DDesign, is adapted to you and how you think and work as a creative person.

You already have an advantage knowing about materials and processes that you can bring to working digitally. What is best is that A3DDesign has haptics (virtual 3D touch) and movement in 3D which taps into how we naturally interact with objects in our real 3D world. Because of this the interface is straightforward and the programme quick, easy and enjoyable to learn and use.

Class size is small: places are limited to 10. Individual support is there at all stages. Going forward you can purchase the hardware and software for yourself with a discount on the software for attending the workshop.

The workshop is taught by Ann Marie Shillito and Birgit Laken.

Ann Marie is CEO of Anarkik3D. She is also a designer maker/jeweller and user of A3DDesign and 3D printing. She is an experienced teacher having taught part-time at degree level at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Edinburgh College of Art where she was also a research fellow, investigating haptics as a better interface for working digitally in 3D.

Birgit is designer maker. jeweller, artist and photographer in the Netherlands and her work was selected for SCHMUCK2019. She also uses A3DDesign and 3D printing for her work and as she speaks German she is a valued tutor supporting Ann Marie in these workshops.

All equipment is supplied with one set of kit per person. You will have helpful worksheets, covering all the digital tools to keep you moving forward, and 3D printed samples to handle.

Outcome from the course: sufficient knowledge and information about 3D modelling for 3D printing to make decisions about your next stage and how to access 3D technologies for your business.
