This post celebrates (in) – Somnium: new work by Katja Prins, a jewellery artist in Amsterdam. Katja was introduced to Anarkik3DDesign, a 3D modelling programme, by her fellow jewellery maker, Birgit Laken and was immediately fascinated by this intuitive way of designing! This exciting exhibition of 3D printed jewellery by 10 international jewellers opens in Vienna on 5th October, 19:00-21:00, at GalerieV&V. The main criteria for selection is the jewellery maker’s love of ‘tools’, combining the possibilities of digital production with traditional making techniques. Each has there own different approach, some very personal, and others very pragmatic, yet both exploring the technology for the effects they can achieve.

V&A Dundee and the Travelling Gallery Bus: Exhibition ‘Design in Motion’   This wonderful V&A Dundee ‘Design in Motion’ exhibition was launched on 13th Feb 2015 and the bus toured to over 70 places in Scotland. This was a great opportunity to try haptics (virtual touch) as haptics is amazing and makes working in 3D so much easier! Many visitors had a chance to try our haptic (virtual touch) Anarkik 3D Design 3D modelling software as it was included in the exhibition.

V&ADundee’s exhibition ‘Design in Motion’ toured Scotland into June 2015. Anarkik 3D Design 3D modelling software was on board and presented a great opportunity to try haptics (virtual touch) – its amazing and makes working in 3D so much easier!

Removing the CAD barrier to 3D printing! for jewellery students. Last Monday was exciting and fun as we showed that Anarkik 3D Design can remove that CAD barrier! 6 jewellers with little expertise in 3D digital modelling, on this 1 day, each created a model for 3D printing for an exhibition.
